What is the Communist Alliance?

The Communist Alliance is an alliance of a number of political parties, including the Communist Party of Australia and migrant Communist organisations, and progressive individuals.

It was set up because it was thought that at this stage of the class struggle in Australia it is crucial that there be a Communist presence in elections, as an important step in building a revolutionary party for the working class.

Membership is open to anyone who is prepared to support such an alliance for electoral purposes.

The aim of the alliance is to endorse candidates to contest elections and, by so doing, promote the best interests of working people.
